Just beautiful, Deborah! Last week a Cooper’s Hawk spent quite a bit of time in my backyard under the bird feeder. He was searching for something under a plastic pipe. It was quite amusing to watch him or her, in very determined fashion trying to move or get under the pipe. After a while he/ gave up, flew into the pine above and surveyed his/her kingdom. I felt very privileged to have witnessed this scene.
